... i like them like that ...

... a little tinkering and taking liberties with what was prescribed ...

... the scarf was going to be way too long and heavy had i followed all of the instructions ... also didn’t like the idea of the garter stitch for a big chunk of it at one end ... improvised with the moss stitch for the ending blue stripe and the sandy bark color got a bit of stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch rippling ... the yarn is very cool ... and i think a sweatshirt sweater for tikes would be perfect ... another reason to cut the scarf short so i’ll have plenty to play with for a sweater for a little boy ... the elliot sweater to segue the ellie sweater for the girls ...

... oh ... and a little tidbit about the upcoming event at the studio ...

p.s. ... the best bit about this ... one skein of “sweater” for the smallest size ... and 14 grams leftover ... and all that at a quarter of the cost of the original ... don’t get me wrong ... i love beautiful yarns ... but washable and wearable wins in my book ... and at this rate i can make four for the price of one ... for the next two sizes it will bite into a second skein ... make a hat to match ...
... done and dusted ... happy mommies ... and very stylish babies ...

... i put the ellie sweater on the needles for one more round ...

... morehouse merino lace ... a dream in colors this time around ... grabbed some skeins off the shelf ... wound them ... cast on ... and painted with my knitting needles ... i’ll promise a sneak peek in the morning ...
